I had my sprinkler system repaired by a Denver contractor named Daniel. I have emailed him repeatedly and he will not respond to me to give me my invoice or the warranty.

I find it very offensive that he continues to tell me that he will email or use the mail system to send me my invoice and warranty. I thought this was a good contractor, but clearly I was incorrect. I will make sure that I tell everyone that I know and work with to never use this man's business. He also said to me while he was repairing my system that he was going to use copper pipes.

When I saw the repair after he left it was NOT copper it was pex. He said it was the same as copper. When I went online to research pex it said that pex should not be used outside because it is affected by ultraviolet rays. Daniel said that blue and red were ok and he would warranty it for 10 years.

He clearly will not give me the warranty to guarantee this!!! Just to make sure that other people do not get taken advantage of the way that Daniel is taking advantage of me now here is his phone number: (720) 400-**** I will never use Thumbtack again and I definitely would not suggest that anyone uses Daniel to fix your sprinkler system!!!!!!

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Monetary Loss: $1200.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Thumbtack Cons: Daniel the sprinkler system repairman.

Location: Henderson, Colorado

I am sorry you had to deal with him and too had a similar, terrible experience. I think we need to band together and file an official complaint with the city.

He is one of the shadiest characters we have ever dealt with. Sold us a New Bradford White Defender water heater for $2,400 including installation last Monday, the 29th of August because our old one died. Wanted a check for $1,500 and then $900 cash once installed. Came back almost 3 hours later after we gave him the check.

He said he would come out every 6 months to service it and also said the same 10 year warranty schpeal. Knowing his current level of reliability, do not want him anywhere near it ever again.

Told us the old water heater would be picked up within 3 days. I reached out to him 2 days later since we heard nothing and told me would be Thursday. Got a call from a third party on Thursday saying it would be Friday.

I had to help the individual move our water heater out. That was not part of the plan. To this day, no invoice has been provided and was promised that on Friday, September 2nd. It is now Tuesday, September 6th.

He keeps making excuses and nonsensical texting. Will be lodging an official complaint with the city. Please, do yourself a favor and go with a real company.

We learned our lesson. This was our first thumbtack experience and very terrible.
