They do not properly screen their contractors.I hired one contractor from their website.

He performed incompetent work. He performed a $4,900.00 HVAC install in May 2017. He came back 4 times. When he failed to respond to a service call in December 2017, when the heat was turned o n for the first time, I had to hire a different contractor.

That contractor was through the manufacturer, Goodman. The Goodman contractor informed me that the unit incurred water damage. The heat element of the air handler portion of the heat pump was wired wrong. Thumbtack sent the dispute to some half assed forum called Fairclaims.

They stepped in and lowered my claim by less than 50% without prior discussion to me.

As it turns out the Thumbtack contractor has prior Better Business claims that were similar to mine and Thumbtack ignored them or did not really perform due diligence.Do not trust them.

Review about: Installation.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $419.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

I didn't like: Failure to properly screen contractors.
