Ripped off
Thumbtack highly recommended Monica Cleaning Service in Knoxvile . She showed up with 1 helper that spoke NO English, probably an illegal.
She asked for cash. I went to bank for cash and when returneDont use her. Dd only the kitchen had been mopped. I wrote out what was to be done.
I stepped outside to make a call. When I came inside.
they had taken cash and left. $140

They don't explain the prices to you thrybsay they chaege $20 but before you know it they havenchargedbover $500!!, they don't listen to you they talk down to you like your dumb. It's hi way robbery.
Don't ever join thumbtack. You'll regret it 100 % most of the clients they do send your way are along ways away they don't even discount for gas costs!

I've gotten about three leads from you. I recently had hernia surgery, and I can't work for a few more weeks.
I spoke with one lady you referred me for a job, but she gave it to someone else. There were three people bidding on the same small tile backsplash job because of your referral. Then, my girlfriend lent me her car for $25 less, and you took out four hundred and something from her account. I had to pay her back.
So, yes, I want nothing more to do with you. This means if 7 people bid on a job, you get that much money off one job from 7 different people. That's not right; you're making money while I'm not. I'm Mike Prado.

I just want to let you know that you can no longer rip me off. I have made several suggestions on more than one occasion so that you could possibly retain more clients, but you continue to steal money from me, and im really not enjoying that.
You have taken 1 000s of dollars from me and not given me a gid damn thing. I have been {{Redacted}} by customers, one- which made me feel very uncomfortable asking me very personal questions. When i asked for a refund, you denied it. SERIOUSLY??
ARE YOU TRUMP?? WTF??? You can continue to steal from other people.
Ill be the first name on the list for a class action lawsuit.
SHUT DOWN MY ACCOUNT. NOW.and refund me the money you stole.

This is a lie, they give information that is not true. I opened an account for house cleaning with $200.
Daniel Montserrat told me that the price of the leads ranged between $53, the highest paid in the month, and they sent me 2 leads the next day that cost $70+ and $80+ each. I called this man and he told me "you're unlucky, leads cost more now." Definitely don't fall for the lies of this company.
They charge very high prices and DO NOT GUARANTEE THE WORK. BE CAREFUL LATINOS, DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

The person I used took my money and never came back to fix my washer
He came looked at the washer said he was Oder parts and was coming back I text him and he keep not coming back I payed him 200 and my washer is still broke

I'm a licensed LLC for over 13 years in San Diego and I must state the facts Thumbtack to me is just as bad as yelp !I've spent or shall I say I woke up and Thumbtack took over $500 and I made about $200.I received 2 jobs out of 20 something They took money as they pleased it seemed .They go in your Bank account and just take it knowing they already gave it to 10 other ppl as well

Id ordered 2 fabric dressers online from Walmart.
When they arrived, I knew there was no way I could put them together myself. I could have had FedEx come take them, but REALLY needed that extra storage units in the drawers!

It's no way to reach any real person that actually works for Thumbtack. I still get leads that don't respond, no working phone, but once again fees on fees for fake leads.
The fees average $70-$85 per 3 leads, which SOMETIMES 1 out of the 3 will be a real person looking for services. They need to make it to where the customer knows the pros quotes, and guarantee it's real customers.
My business has been on Thumbtack for a few months now, and within the last two weeks, I've gotten nothing but fake leads of people not responding or not even wanting services, but I'm stuck paying for all these leads. We put our prices on profiles just for people to reach out asking for a quote.
WE get charged, and I never hear from them again, or most don't respond from the start. I'm highly upset and feel like I am wasting money.

I am a small business owner and want to warn others. Thumbtack is an absolute rip off, they are charging you quickly with terrible leads, where you wither won't hear anything or they say something short as I'll get back to you" but then they don't and Thumtack is charging you.
They don't care if you get the job or not , they charge you and its a lot what they charge for each lead.
You lose hundreds of dollars but still have no client. Very unethical practices and they need to get sued!

Your prices are too high per lead and your leads are weak. You have flooded your platform with too much competition and have drove the revenues of our sector DOWN please advise on ways to move forward that are mutually beneficial and hold equal energy exchange.

Dispute took a lot money out my account
I got like three leads talk to one on phone didn’t do no job I just had hernia surgery and yal took four hundred dollars out my account for no job I can’t work for couple more weeks I don’t think that was right
