Dispute took a lot money out my account
I got like three leads talk to one on phone didn’t do no job I just had hernia surgery and yal took four hundred dollars out my account for no job I can’t work for couple more weeks I don’t think that was right
Im thru with yal I got like five leads never got no work only talk to one person bullsjit took four hundred out of my account never again I will tell everyone about this to

I have never been in contact with anyone about a job lead that I supposedly had through Thumbtack, this happened several times, some times Thumbtack withdrew money out of my account twice a day, yet I never got a job. But I am out over $300.
I canceled with them well over a month ago, yesterday 7-31-24 they took out another $55. I have every screenshot of cancellation, also our conversations we have had. When I go on the website it shows nothing on me, just a miss you, come back, and yet they still have my card information??? This should be illegal.
I have contacted my bank to stop payment on this last withdraw from Thumbtack. I work very hard for my money, I am not letting them get away with stealing from me anymore.
Be aware of what you are getting yourself into before putting your card out there for Thumbtack to steal from you.

Complete scam. Ive sent hundreds of quotes to leads that dont even read the messages!
I used the platform for 4 months. I lost money!

Nobody answers the phone
I would think when a pro service provider calls with an issue and leaves three voicemails someone would actually call back where the backbone of your business without us. You have nothing.

It's hard to get a hold of any support. If you could give me a call, it would be great to talk to a representative to help resolve a problem that is recurring on Thumbtack.

Verified ReviewerCharges for leads leading to no business
We set up Thumbtack to generate business for our Stone Company and we were charged $74 for two so-called leads where the customer never contacted us. Thumbtack refused to credit my account so I deleted my account.
I have wasted hours setting this up and had customers review our company for nothing. What a scam and waste of time!

Poor customer service for pros
I paid $115 for a lead however they do not speak english. I can not communicate with them.
Thumbtack asked me for proof? How if they dont speak english? Then they said it was a valid lead and didnt qualify for a refund.
I asked what would she do if I started speaking anothe language and she hung up on me. Absolutely horrible

My damn money back
Thumbtack took over $399 dollars of mine I dont use the app I having made any money my mother passed awaynfrisay and my *** rent is do and thumbtack got me so *** up!!!

Resolved: Fraudulent leads
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I had to show them proof from the customer otherwise I would have not got a refund
Charged $150 for a inaccurate lead. The job would have been $185 max.
Customers don't even respond. Called thumbtack for a refund and they denied it. I have been using thumbtack for 10 years and will no longer be. DO NOT USE THUMBTACK UNLESS YOUR OK LOSING MONEY.
They are now a scam all they care about is charging businesses the most possible and have the worst Customer service. Your 100 times better off using Google local business ads

I got charged $61 for a lead i didn't want. I tried to dispute it and they said no.
Makes me not want to use thumbtack. Can I at least get $61 thumbtack credit please?

Scam!
A complete scam, all they do is charge, most of the clients do not exist, everything is perfectly set up so that you cannot complain. I do not recommend them at all. They are a mockery of professionals who are trying hard to start their business.
